Who We Are:
We are highly skilled and motivated educators. We consist of three Educational Recovery (ER) Directors, sixteen ER Leaders, and thirty-eight ER Specialists.
What We Do:
We have been specifically charged with the work of closing gaps within the 41 Priority schools. Priority schools are defined as those that fall at the bottom 5% of overall scores for all districts. These schools have also failed to meet annual measurable objectives (AMO) for three consecutive years. We are at ground zero, working with the principals, teachers and staff as mentors and facilitators in turning around and bringing these schools in need to proficiency.
Our Goals:
We are working toward:
ü Increasing the percentage of students who are college and career ready from 34% to 68% by 2015
ü Increasing achievement for all student groups in Kentucky
ü Increasing the averaged freshmen graduation rate from 76% to 90% by the year 2015
